In our youth ministry here at SSBC, "CREW" stands for Christians Remembering Eternal Worth! This stems from Ephesians 1:13-14, which says:
"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."
Each week, through Bible study, the implementation of Spiritual disciplines, and relationship-building outings, we intend to point our students towards their identity in Christ and the promises they are sealed to inherit when they put their faith in Jesus.
Every Wednesday night, we have open gym for our students starting at 6:30, followed by a worship service starting at 7. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights of each month, we meet for open gym at 5:45 and work to instill Spiritual disciplines (Bible study, prayer, etc.) in our students starting at 6. We believe that by having students participate in corporate worship and the learning of Spiritual disciplines, we are doing our part to assist these young disciples of Christ to grow into Spiritual maturity as they also mature physically. That way, when they enter wherever God leads them after they graduate high school, they are ready to be salt and light out in the world!
In addition to our weekly meeting times, we also do our best to take our students on at least one outing a month, along with Summer Camp, VBS, a Winter Retreat, and doing ministry work together. SSBC CREW also hosts "CREW Nights" on the first Friday of the month during the school year (August-May). See more info below!
